Marriage Officiant License

Persons who hold credentials with Be In Christ Church of Canada are eligible to apply to the provincial government for registration as a marriage officiant. If you are credentialed with BIC Canada and wish to perform marriage ceremonies, it is your responsibility to initiate the registration process. See the instructions below. 

Note that the process takes 4-8 weeks, so even though you may not need a marriage officiant license immediately, please consider taking action now.

ONTARIO

To register as a marriage officiant in Ontario, print and complete the following application form. Complete sections 1 and 4 only.

Important: Even in these days of wonderful technology, Service Ontario requires all original signatures, so yes, you need to print the form, fill it out and sign it with a pen! Mail or courier the original signed application to the address above. Do not send a photocopy.

SASKATCHEWAN

To register as a marriage officiant in Saskatchewan, contact Charmaine Stulp. She will prepare and send a letter requesting registration for you. An application form is not required.
